WIDI APPLICATION INSTALL
The Airparrot is a 10$ software that you install on the one system and then you can push your content on the TV.Īs mentioned you can use your Apple devices to push content for free! So go the easy way and get yourself that promotion! The widi is only available on certain configurations if your system isn't precertified Widi then don't continue any further. I invested a lot of time on the WIDI and the best decision I ever made was to walk away from it. However, I really find your wasting your time with it. You may need to uninstall and reinstall the widi application (since it's crashing already). I'm out of ideas other than to reimage his laptop, but I'm not even convinced that will fix it.
WIDI APPLICATION DRIVER
I've tried nearly every version of every driver for my wireless card, display adapter, and version of widi. I really wish I could get this thing working. I like the air parrot idea but that will take research and time. Now whenever I open the widi app the dialog boxes aren't painted (see picture). I had it at the point where it would connect and then immediately crash. I've been pushing all of the software on the CEOs laptop down to the level on the working laptop. Good luck! Let me know how it is with the big promotion!

Then install this software on the Bosses laptop If you want your boss to be happy I would suggest you get an Apple TV (connect it to the TV)
The Intel requires are pretty strict between having the appropriate wireless card \ video card just to get it going. If your laptop doesn't have a Widi sticker it probably won't work! *** Believe it or not, that is a BIG PROBLEM *** Step two, is having a device that is widi ready. I tried setting up a WIDI connection once it was a nightmare and a half!īasically if the TV is Widi ready that is great! That is step one out of the way.
